Happy Retirement Judy!
You have worked at KN for over 30 years, and I think it's about time you retire! lol
I am sad to see you leave, but at the same time, happy that you will finally get some well deserved time to do whatever you want to do. No more late nights at the office, coming in on the weekends and on holidays. The world is your oyster now, and you should enjoy every bit of it. You have given me the opportunity to grow and learn not only professionally, but as a person as well. And I don't know how I could ever repay you for that.

Don't forget to come visit us - and bring food too!




what you told me on sunday hurt, but it was true.

today i played softball, and slipped on the grass because it rained earlier today =(
i did however get a hit and scored a run! i hadn't played softball/baseball since grade 8, so it felt awesome to be back on the diamond.

and these guys are pretty intense - if only the trash talk was a great as their playing skills lol i joke. they were all friendly and hilarious! i hope to play with them more often this summer =)

finally a day off from work! but it is spent doing other kinds of work (n) but potentially be playing ball later? YAY!

Every thing in life has its risks. And I would rather live with the consequences of them than having a squeaky clean life.

Each scar has its own story, one that I will never look back with regret, but as an identifier, that what I experienced was indeed very real.

congratulations on your convocation! i am very proud of you for having come so far despite the crazy winters, walking in deep snow with no boots, the disasterous state of 265 emerson st, your crazy room-mate, your ridiculous sleeping patterns, the lack of signal in the laptop friendly room, running into mel and her bf, and the sex class! lol

I know that you will be successful in whatever endeavours you decide to embark upon. We will always be here to support and guide you whenever you need it (y). You did not get a chance to walk across the stage, but I have a feeling you will be receiving a lot more honors that will require you to walk across some platform, and have your loved ones cheer you on. Let's hope it's not in Hamilton lol or at least, some where blackouts do not occur frequently =P

absolute blur was what i felt when i woke up. i don't even know why, but i woke up at 8:30am! i wanted to look for my phone, but that required me getting up and i was not ready for that just yet. what happened next, i do not want to repeat, otherwise i might just kill a bitch.

after lying in bed and being angry for the next few hours, i decided it was about time to get up and get ready to go to cora's. driving was a mission even though cora's was only 10 minutes (less than) away from my house. so i stayed in the right lane as much as i could, and used the curb as my reference point, because my mind was shot!

after a breakfast of champions, i made gerene drive herself home, which is nothing new. i told myself i could make it home, but she made me sleep it off first, with the valid argument of 'if i have to drive myself home, i am not letting you drive.' and so i slept it off for x-amount of hours. i felt bad crashing, but boy did i feel soo much better after (y) then i spent the rest of the day being lazy.

sometimes, this is the best cure for a hang over!

• craziest night everrrrr! i did not eat anything at all before, so it was definitely bound to be an interesting night.
• cheetah heels!
• I can't believe we all fit in the limo, and the driver didn't say anything about exceeding the amount of passengers.
• 'F*ck you! and uh, F*ck her tooooo!' listenin' to Cee-Lo Green during the ride!

AWESOME night. Definitely going in the books. But pleeease don't tag in those photos - or put 'em on private!! lol (p.s - recap will get updated if I remember anything else)

After a month of preparations - constant work outs, cold bike rides outside, strict protein and carb diet, very little alcohol, and limited free time, June 5th finally came!

June 5th 12:30 am - I was so excited and nervous the night before, I couldn't sleep. So I decided to watch 127 Hours to motivate me. I bought the DVD months back, but hadn't watched it yet. I thought this would be the perfect time to watch it. Unfortunately, all it did, was gross me out. I hid under my covers as - SPOILER ALERT - he was chopping off his arm and drinking his urine. Nonetheless, it was a great movie.

6:00 am - waking up was a bitch, as always. The nervousness and excitement hadn't kicked in yet. At this point, all I wanted was for it to be over so I could sleep again. But before it could be over, it had to start -_-

6:30 am - eat breakfast (oatmeal, egg and various types of carbs); get bike and other equipment ready.

7:00 am - wait for kuya zerwin to arrive; prep and load the bikes

7:30 am - dad drives us to toronto; also saw many others driving to the event as well.

8:15 am - arrival at the Better Living Centre near the BMO field; wait for Perry and the gang to show up. Stretch. Nervousness begins to sink in at the sight of the numerous participants - professional and non-professional.

9:30 am - Let the ride (nervousness/excitement) begin! Although as we were leaving, there were many who were also entering the finish line! Throughout the ride I noticed there were many families and kids that participated. It kind of made me wish I did stuff like that when I was a kid.

Some unknown time during the ride - The first 15K went by pretty fast. Between that and the 25K mark felt like forever! Right before the 25K mark, there was that last lovely downhill that we blazed through, to pick up speed, because the guys in my group said that the next few bits were going to be a little tough. After this, everything else went by smoothly. But this was probably the point where you don't even feel yourself pedaling.

My goal for the entire ride was to just finish it. The time or consistency during the ride did not matter, as long as I finished it.

10:30 - 11:00 am the sun begins to blare down on us, making us that much more motivated to finish faster. So we pick up the pace!

11:10 am - approaching the gardiner from the DVP motivated me to keep going. This meant I only had 8km left to go. Sooo close!

11:15 am - I drop my phone =( the only time during the ride I stopped other than the pit stop the group took (that I didn't want to because it was a downhill and I wanted to use momentum to get through the uphill)

11:45am - blaze through perry and mo to cross the finish line, first out of my team!

Overall, it was one of the most rewarding and amazing experiences I have ever done by far and I will definitely continue to do this every year. I encourage any one and everyone to try it. It has put me in a better and different mind-frame in many ways. I can proudly say, that I have collected $185 a and biked 50KM for Heart and Stroke Research.
